It will take a total of 4 weeks

Understand how location, grape growing, winemaking, maturation, and bottling affect wine characteristics.

Explain the characteristics of principal still, sparkling, and fortified wines from regions around the world.

Use the WSET Level 3 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine to describe and evaluate wines.
The WSET® Level 3 Award in Wines course gives students an in-depth understanding of the factors influencing wine production worldwide, comprehensive tasting practice, and the analytical skills to assess and describe wine. Delivered on campus over 8 sessions across 4 weekends, it covers all major wine styles, the science and art of winemaking, and hones the palates of wine enthusiasts and professionals. The course prepares students for the WSET assessment via practice exam and tasting days and is suitable for both general interest and those pursuing hospitality, wine, or beverage-industry careers.
