The Bachelor of Fine Arts at Whitecliffe encourages the emergence of a meaningful artistic practice through exploration of creative media and processes. It aligns Fine Arts and Photo Media, enabling students to innovate with new technologies while also appreciating traditional art forms. What you need to know first
Portfolio of original artwork
Letter of intent
Interview (in-person or video conference)
NCEA University Entrance or equivalent (including Literacy – 10 credits at level 2 or above: 5 in reading, 5 in writing)
Subject endorsement in at least one Level 3 Visual Arts subject preferred
Alternatively, relevant industry experience with portfolio for applicants over 20 years
International applicants: must turn 18 in first year, proof of qualifications equivalent to domestic entry, meet English requirements (IELTS Academic 6.0, no band below 5.5), and NZ visa eligibility
