Te Toi o Ngā Rangi | Bachelor of Māori Visual Arts is a 360-credit, full-time degree taught by leading Māori artists. The programme introduces students to a wide range of art disciplines before supporting specialisation and professional development in Māori visual arts. Emphasis is placed on both traditional practices and contemporary expression within a Māori paradigm, supported by annual exhibitions and marae-based learning. Graduates are prepared for careers as practising artists, educators, curators, and roles within community and creative industries. Academic research is informed by te reo Māori me ona tikanga o Te Tairāwhiti, and graduates are equipped to advance into postgraduate study or contribute confidently in Māori art both locally and globally.
