It will take a total of 16 weeks

Gain a working knowledge of industry terminology, key aircraft components, and airline operations.

Demonstrate proficiency in aircraft emergency procedures, safety features, and aviation medicine including first aid.

Apply customer service skills in an aviation context, including food and beverage service, communication, and conflict management.
This 16-week Level 4 certificate provides students with broad foundational knowledge and practical skills needed for roles as flight attendants and in airline operations. Topics include aviation terminology, customer service, safety, emergency response, first aid, and more. The program features flexible class times, small classes, and practical training using a fully operational 737 cabin at the Auckland Airport campus. Graduates will earn the New Zealand Certificate in Aviation (Flight Attendant) and a First Aid Certificate. The course is designed for those aspiring to become flight attendants, cabin crew, or airline customer service staff.

Have achieved a minimum of NCEA Level 2 (with literacy and numeracy), or accepted equivalent secondary education or Level 3 qualification in Tourism, Travel or Hospitality
Special admission may be granted for those with relevant prior learning or work experience
Able to gain a passport without restrictions
Meet Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) or NZDF security vetting standards
Swimming ability: swim 25m freestyle, 50m any style in clothing/lifejacket within 2 minutes, tread water for 2.5 mins, partner rescue swim 25m
