What You're Signing Up For
The Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Secondary) is designed for those with a bachelor's degree who wish to teach in New Zealand secondary schools (years 9–13). The intensive programme integrates educational theory with practical placements in schools, beginning with a block course in Auckland and continuing through a mix of campus, online, and extensive practicum experiences in two different schools. Students develop teaching skills, build professional networks, learn about the New Zealand Curriculum, and are eligible for teacher registration with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand upon successful completion.
