What You're Signing Up For

This certificate programme develops knowledge and skills for caring for infants, toddlers and young children in early childhood settings. Topics include health and safety, nutrition, child development, learning, cultural communication, legislative and ethical practices in early childhood education, and practical experience through a 60-hour practicum placement. It prepares students for entry-level roles in early childhood education centers and supports progression to higher qualifications in the field.

NCEA Level 1 or New Zealand Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 2) or equivalent academic achievement or discretion of Executive Dean

Completion of New Zealand Police background check and safety vetting
