What You're Signing Up For

The Bachelor of Teaching (BTchg) is a three-year undergraduate degree designed for those seeking to become outstanding teachers in New Zealand's education system. Through this programme, students gain comprehensive knowledge of educational theory and curriculum, coupled with extensive professional teaching experience. Upon completion, graduates will be eligible to apply for teacher registration and provisional certification in New Zealand. The degree offers endorsements in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, and Te Pōkai Mātauranga o te Ao Rua (Primary Bicultural Education - Invercargill campus only). The programme features a student-centred approach, innovative teaching methods, and requires a minimum of 120 days of supervised professional experience.
