What You're Signing Up For

AdventureWorks offers EOTC Instructor Qualifications across three levels, focusing on training individuals to safely and effectively lead Education Outside The Classroom (EOTC) events and trips. The program supports the development of leadership, group management, safety procedures, event planning and review, while embedding cultural competence and the NZ Curriculum in outdoor activity delivery. Graduates can act as Teacher in Charge for outdoor education events in schools and community settings.

What you need to know first

Experience as Assistant Leader and/or Leader on multiple EOTC events (Level 4).

Experience as Leader, Teacher in Charge (TIC) on at least five EOTC events, including at least one overnight and one multi-day trip (Level 5).

Plan to demonstrate hours and experience as per qualification requirements.

Management and supervision experience of students around water and emergencies (Level 5).
