The Master of Science (Human Performance Science) at Wintec is aimed at graduates seeking specialized knowledge in sport and exercise science, rehabilitation, and human movement. The programme offers two pathways – thesis and dissertation – allowing students to focus on research relevant to the sports industry. Learning is applied and industry-focused, supported by state-of-the-art sport science facilities and expert academic staff. Graduates are prepared for leadership roles in sport, health, and rehabilitation sectors, or for doctoral study.

Corresponding NZ Bachelor degree with at least a B grade (65%) in the third year, or
Postgraduate Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science with a minimum B grade average, or
Corresponding NZ Postgraduate Diploma with a minimum B grade average, or
Equivalent qualification or experience (special admission for experienced applicants over 20 at discretion of Head of School)
Current or working towards First Aid certificate (NZQA units 6401 & 6402)
Selection interview and safety checks (including referee and Police vet checks)
If English not first language: IELTS 6.5 with no band lower than 6.0, or equivalent
Individual and team sport trainer and conditioner
