What You're Signing Up For

The NZ Certificate in Aquatics (Pool Lifeguard) (Level 3) is designed for individuals working or volunteering at pools or aquatic facilities. The programme covers aquatic supervision techniques, aquatic rescue, hazard management, and emergency response. Training is both workplace-based and online, and involves two main stages: initial training/assessment followed by on-job validation, including supervised hours, facility induction, and completing a Pool Lifeguard Logbook. Graduates gain awards that recognize their skills and abilities to work effectively as pool lifeguards.
