It provides skills and knowledge to work as a lift operator or road and carpark attendant on a mountain facility, including snowsport areas. Training and assessment are workplace-based, through a mix of core modules and electives focusing on lift operations or road/carpark services.

Course Content

  • Applying safe working procedures and practices
  • Identifying and responding to risks and hazards
  • Customer service
  • Safely operate aerial lifts and maintain safe lift station (elective)
  • Manage queuing, crowd control and lift access (elective)
  • Identify and respond to road and carpark conditions, capacity, weather, terrain, and hazards (elective)
  • Provide safe and effective road and carpark services including alpine driver technique advice (elective)

Must be employed, self-employed, or volunteering in an eligible mountain facility organisation with regular and consistent shifts.
