This certificate provides advanced avalanche training combining online theory with practical fieldwork, enabling graduates to assume supervisory roles across the avalanche risk management industry. What you need to know first

New Zealand Certificate in Avalanche Risk Management (Level 5) or equivalent

English language requirements: New Zealand University Entrance, or IELTS 6.0 (no band lower than 5.5) or acceptable alternative evidence

Desirable: Evidence of 100 days of using Level 5 skillset, preferably in an operational and mentored environment
