Applied Research
Design and implement a substantial research or practice project relevant to a contemporary issue in applied sport and exercise science.
What You're Signing Up For
This Master of Applied Science programme specialises in sport and exercise science, offering candidates the ability to demonstrate advanced knowledge in the field. It is designed for those aspiring to engage in doctoral-level study, academic careers, or leadership in sport or exercise contexts. Students can select one of two completion pathways (practice- or research-based), have access to industry placements, and will address both applied theory and sector-specific professional development. Full-time and part-time study modes are available, with entry points in February and August.

What you need to know first
Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Science at Level 8 with B+ (75%) grade or equivalent for Masters by Research pathway
Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Science at Level 8 with B+ in final 60 credits or equivalent postgraduate qualification of 120 credits in a related area for Masters by Practice pathway
Exceptional applicants with relevant professional experience may be considered
First Aid Certificate and completion of Children’s Act 2014 requirements (police vetting) prior to commencing classes
Pass interview with selection panel
