This Bachelor of Sport and Recreation programme offers a pathway for students to develop advanced skills in coaching, lifestyle nutrition, health and wellbeing. The programme includes industry work placement two days a week to apply skills and develop professional networks. It is delivered as an AUT degree at NorthTec, with courses covering cooperative education, pedagogy, leadership, community nutrition, and sport health. Entry requires successful completion of Level 6 diploma or equivalent. The programme is aimed at preparing students for careers in sport and recreation sectors in Northland and beyond.
