What You're Signing Up For
This Level 6 diploma expands your expertise in the health and fitness industry through studies in sports psychology, exercise science, anatomy, nutrition, rehabilitation, and sports law. The programme features vocational, project-based learning in the community, mandatory 50-hour work experience, and access to modern fitness and outdoor facilities. Graduates are prepared for a variety of roles in sport, recreation, health, and fitness sectors, or further study such as the AUT Bachelor of Sport and Recreation available on the NMIT Nelson campus.

- Events and practical involvement (e.g., Weet-Bix Triathlon, community expos)
- Use of on-site and off-site fitness and recreation facilities

New Zealand Diploma in Sport, Recreation and Exercise (Multi-Sector) (Level 5) OR equivalent skills and knowledge
Selection interview
Signed Risk Management Contract
Declaration of any Convictions Against the Law (apart from minor traffic convictions)
Compliance with NZ Vulnerable Children's Act, 2014 (interview, police vet, risk assessment)
