This course explores the relationships between societal changes and sports, focusing on how sport functions within contemporary society. Students will engage with various theories underpinning sport internationally and within New Zealand and critically discuss key issues and debates in sport. Theoretical application and critical thinking about sport-society relations are emphasized through writing, debate, and discussion.
