RECN111 introduces students to evidence-based principles and practices in leadership, management, and evaluation within the leisure industries—specifically sport, recreation, and tourism sectors in Aotearoa. Students explore industry competencies, best leadership practices through simulated activities, professional communication, and the capacity to respond to emerging socio-cultural, environmental, and economic challenges in the field.
