The Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science (BSES) at EIT is a comprehensive, three-year programme designed to prepare graduates for successful careers in the sport, exercise, and recreation industries. Students gain in-depth knowledge in anatomy, physiology, nutrition, sport science, coaching, psychology, and health promotion, alongside developing communication, negotiation, research, and professional skills. The programme is designed for those passionate about physical activity and looking for varied career paths including sports coaching, management, fitness training, health promotion, and further postgraduate study.

What you need to know first

University Entrance as defined by NZQA, or equivalent.

Evidence of capability to undertake and complete the programme of study.

Applicants over 20 may gain entry at EIT discretion.

Police Vetting and good health declaration required.

English language requirements (IELTS 6.0 with no band below 5.5, or NZ Certificate in English Language Level 4 Academic, or accepted equivalent).
