What You're Signing Up For

AUT's Certificate of Proficiency in Personal Training equips students with essential knowledge and practical skills to become qualified personal trainers or fitness instructors. The course includes in-person workshops on AUT’s North Campus and online self-study. Students will access AUT Sport and Fitness Centres to support applied learning. The curriculum covers exercise prescription, weight training, nutrition, lifespan and medical considerations, and relevant business skills for running a successful personal training operation. Graduates are qualified to work in gyms, community centres, or independently, helping others achieve their wellness goals.
