It will take a total of 2 years

Students will critically reflect on their own professional practice to identify strengths and areas for improvement.

Students will design and pursue learning pathways aligned with their professional interests and socio-cultural context.

Students will demonstrate understanding and application of mātauranga Māori and bicultural practices in their professional context.
The Master of Professional Practice (MPP) and Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Practice (PGDipPP) are designed for individuals working primarily with people in socio-cultural contexts. These programmes enable graduates to tailor postgraduate learning to their professional needs and interests with a strong emphasis on understanding customs, beliefs, values, and language critical for effective practice. Flexible delivery options include online learning and block wānanga, with commitment to mātauranga Māori and interdisciplinary collaboration. Entry requires an undergraduate degree in socio-cultural fields with academic merit or related experience. The programmes include options for credit transfer and recognition of prior learning. The programmes aim to support individual career development within the unique bicultural setting of New Zealand.
