What You're Signing Up For

This micro-credential is designed for disability support workers to gain the specific skills and knowledge necessary to support people with disabilities in health or wellbeing settings. It covers understanding Enabling Good Lives initiatives, service philosophies, working alongside people to achieve personal goals, and continual self-reflection on practice. The programme is online and usually employer-led or full service, and may contribute towards the New Zealand Apprenticeship in Disability Support.

What you need to know first

Learners must be currently employed in a relevant disability support sector (enabling them to meet the outcomes).

Reasonable computer literacy (assessments are only offered online).

Must be working under the Enabling Good Lives (EGL) framework.
