Demonstrate knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi when providing support in your role.
What You're Signing Up For
This apprenticeship equips experienced staff in social services roles to engage with and assist people, families, and communities. Learners develop skills in communication, reflective practice, and cultural understanding, supporting autonomy and resilience in others. Workplace learning is supported by advisors and online resources, leading to a nationally-recognised qualification at NZQA Level 4.

- Building and maintaining professional relationships

- Demonstrating knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and cultural awareness
- New Zealand’s health and wellbeing system

- Professionalism, safety, and quality in social services
- Applying in-depth knowledge of specific conditions or issues to client support
What you need to know first
Must be currently employed in a social services role (e.g. family violence support worker, welfare worker, refugee support worker)
Employer support is required for enrolment
Should have existing technical skills and experience in social/community services
