It covers successful study techniques, communication, and foundational knowledge relevant to a range of diplomas or degrees in fields such as teaching, social work, business, environmental management, and more.   • Building Communication Competence
  • Introduction to the Biophysical Basis of Health (recommended for Bachelor of Nursing)
  • Human Development across the Lifespan (recommended for Bachelor of Nursing)

What you need to know first

A minimum of 40 credits at NCEA Level 2 across four subjects, including:

10 credits in Literacy at Level 2 or above (5 in reading, 5 in writing)

10 credits in Numeracy at Level 1 or above (specified achievement/unit standards, or all three numeracy unit standards: 26623, 26626, 26627)

Or by interview with the Programme Manager

No minimum academic requirements for applicants aged 20 years and over
