What You're Signing Up For

This programme is for students aiming to improve their personal skills, capabilities, knowledge, and attributes, boosting confidence and strategies to succeed in higher level studies and entry-level employed roles, especially in engineering, uniformed services, or other chosen fields. It incorporates pedagogical principles and cultural practices reflecting Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Te Ao Māori, and Pasifika world views. The course helps learners develop cultural understanding, personal goal-setting, basic programming concepts, problem-solving, decision-making, and knowledge in probability and statistics. It prepares students for further study or employment.

What you need to know first

NCEA Level 1 or equivalent

Minimum Step 3 Literacy and Step 3 Numeracy on Adult Learning Progressions or equivalent

International students require valid visa and insurance for onshore study; offshore learners do not require visa or insurance
