What You're Signing Up For
The New Zealand Certificate in Workplace Health and Safety Practice (Level 4) provides learners with the key skills and knowledge needed to support, promote, implement and supervise robust health and safety practices in workplaces. The course is ideal for those working in, or intending to work in, a dedicated workplace health and safety role. Graduates will be able to implement health and safety plans, conduct hazard management, lead safety training, and foster a culture of safety in organizations. This distance learning programme is delivered over 50 weeks part time, and includes theory and practical coursework aligned with New Zealand's Health and Safety at Work Act requirements.

What you need to know first
School leavers: Minimum 16 years of age and attained NCEA Level 2 (60 credits at Level 2 or above, plus 20 credits from any level, Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy requirements)
Mature applicants (over 20): Evidence of ability to succeed (previous study at Level 3 or above or relevant sector work experience); subject to programme regulations
Access to a workplace or organisation with a health and safety system is beneficial for some parts of the programme.
Computer and internet access required.
