Assessment includes quizzes, forum activities, and reports. Delivered fully online with flexible study times and expert input, it awards 5 points towards further study or continuous professional development.
Course Content
- Introduction to nutrition and wellbeing focusing on how nutrition promotes positive mental health.
- Diet in the 21st century distinguishing whole foods, slightly processed foods, and ultra-processed foods.
- Feeding wellbeing by uncovering nutritional changes that improve mental health.
- Research on diet and wellbeing with discussion of evidence and findings.
- Improving wellbeing through diet by applying knowledge about micronutrients and wholefoods diet.
- Assessments: 5 module quizzes (25%), 4 forum activities (25%), 2 reports (50%) including food diary analysis and meal action plan.
What you need to know first
If under 20 years, University Entrance or equivalent required.
If aged 20 or older, 20+ admission with citizenship/residence status is required.
Confidence in reading, writing, and listening in English.
