What You're Signing Up For

The Postgraduate Diploma in Faith-based Leadership and Management (PGDipFBLM) is designed to enhance a graduate's abilities in leading and managing faith-based organisations through an integrated curriculum in theology and business administration. The programme enables advanced reflection and research in the practice of leadership and management for such settings. Subjects include advanced theological topics, Christian ethics, social justice, and perspectives on leadership, as well as selected postgraduate business management papers. The programme can be studied part-time or full-time and is available via distance learning.

Course Content

  • Three papers from advanced Theology options (e.g., Reconciliation, Christian Ethics and Public Theology; Public Theology and Social Justice; Theology and Human Well-being; Theological Perspectives on Leadership; Cultures, Migration and Faith)
  • Elective substitute: One 400-level BIBS, CHTH or MINS paper
  • Four papers (60 points) from BMBA 501-513 series (Business Administration topics)
  • Advanced reflection and research on leadership and management practices
  • Integration of theology and business scholarship

What you need to know first

Bachelor’s degree in any subject or equivalent three-year qualification with satisfactory grades.

If prior qualifications do not include theological study, one or more 300-level Theology papers may be required as prerequisites for certain 400-level papers.
