What You're Signing Up For

The Graduate Diploma in Music (GDipMus) at Victoria University of Wellington is a flexible qualification designed for those who have completed an undergraduate degree in any discipline and wish to pursue advanced study in music. The programme comprises 120 points, with at least 75 points at 300 level or above, and allows students to tailor their study in various areas of music including performance, composition/sonic arts, and musicology. Entry may require an audition or a portfolio for certain specialisations. Students can complete the diploma in two trimesters full-time, or up to four years part-time. Upon completion, graduates are well prepared for postgraduate music programmes such as the Bachelor of Music with Honours or Master of Music.

  • At least 75 points at 300 level or above
  • Option to include performance (subject to audition)
