Demonstrate skills in singing, dance, acting, and movement
Students will acquire foundational techniques and practical skills in core areas of performing arts, including singing, dancing, movement, and acting.

Perform competently in front of audiences
Graduates will develop confidence and the ability to perform solo and collaboratively on stage, demonstrating vocal, physical, and emotional presence.

Prepare for further study or entry-level work in performing arts
The course equips graduates for employment or self-employment in entry-level performing roles or further study, such as the Bachelor of Performing Arts.

This unique qualification offers foundational training in performing arts by equipping students with essential techniques in singing, dancing, acting, movement, and performance skills. Through a combination of core and elective modules, students develop their repertoire and prepare for entry-level roles or further study in the performing arts industry. What you need to know first
10 NCEA Level 1 literacy credits
Attendance at audition (vocal, acting, dance/movement skills, potential and ability to study performing arts)
If English is not your first language: IELTS 5.5 Academic (no band lower than 5.0) or equivalent
Alternative entry by evidence of equivalent skills from study, work, and/or life experience
