The Master of Science (Research) at AUT is designed for students seeking advanced research training and the opportunity to explore an area within science. The two-year, 240-point programme features a coursework year followed by a full year dedicated to a research thesis. Students may choose to specialise in fields such as Biomedical Science, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Food Science, Geospatial Science, Marine Science, Microbiology, and Molecular Genetics, or opt for a generic science pathway.
