This apprenticeship programme aims to prepare learners for work as professional yacht riggers, capable of working unsupervised in the marine industry. It covers essential skills and knowledge including workplace health and safety, sustainability, materials handling, teamwork, tool use, technical skills, calculations, drawings, and yacht rig design. The programme is NZQA and TEC approved and leads to the New Zealand Certificate in Yacht Rigging.
