What You're Signing Up For
AUT's Diploma in Engineering is designed for students wanting a pathway into an engineering career or degree. In one year, you'll study fundamental engineering concepts, sustainable design, mathematics, and develop academic skills. The diploma provides an alternative admission route and offers strong support alongside degree students. On completion, you can transfer to the second year of the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) or Bachelor of Engineering Technology.

What you need to know first
University Entrance OR
42 NCEA Level 3 credits including UE literacy and numeracy, with minimum credits in approved subjects
If without University Entrance, selection of diploma courses and additional support available
For international students: see country-specific entry requirements
English language: IELTS (Academic) 5.5 overall, minimum 5.5 in Writing and 5.0 in other bands or equivalent
