The Bachelor of Nursing at WITT prepares students to work safely, effectively, and productively as Registered Nurses in various healthcare environments. The programme emphasizes clinical skills, reflective and relational practice, cultural competency, and professional development. Students benefit from small classes, dedicated tutors, extensive placement opportunities, and learning in a modern clinical skills lab. Graduates are supported through the process of nursing registration in New Zealand.

What you need to know first

NCEA Level 3, including 14 credits at Level 3 in English or approved literacy subject, Biology or Physical Education or Chemistry, and one other approved subject

Literacy: 10 credits at Level 2 or above (5 reading, 5 writing)

Numeracy: 10 credits at Level 1 or above

New Zealand Certificate in Study and Career Preparation (Level 4) or equivalent

Alternative entry possible for those with relevant study/work/life experience (subject to assessment)

Completion of additional forms: Additional Information, Health Screen & Vaccination, Referee Reports, Police Vetting, Readiness to Study Nursing Self-disclosure, First Aid Certificate, Immunisation declaration, Travel declaration

English Language requirement: IELTS 6.5 Academic (no subtest below 6.5), or equivalent

Admission subject to criminal/disciplinary/health declarations
