What You're Signing Up For
The Bachelor of Nursing (BNurs) at the University of Auckland offers an integrated approach to nursing education through six semesters of academic and clinical learning. Students gain robust scientific knowledge and hands-on experience through simulation labs and extensive clinical placements in diverse Auckland healthcare settings. The program includes interdisciplinary learning with students of medicine, pharmacy, and health sciences, and is designed to help students develop communication skills, initiative, and the expertise required for a successful nursing career. Upon completion, graduates are eligible to apply for registration as a comprehensive nurse with the Nursing Council of New Zealand.

- Foundation Year: Biological, physical and social sciences alongside other health professionals
- Year Two Core: Nursing Clients with a Pathophysiological Problem
- Year Two Core: Nursing in Mental Health, Addictions and Disability
- Year Three Core: Child and Family Health Nursing
- Year Three Core: Professional Nursing Practice
- Clinical learning in acute, chronic, inpatient, outpatient, institutional, and community health settings
