What You're Signing Up For

The Bachelor of Nursing programme at UCOL prepares learners to become effective registered nurses who provide competent, comprehensive nursing care. The programme combines theoretical knowledge with clinical practice, including over 1,100 hours of clinical placement across various health settings such as primary care, medical and surgical wards, and mental health. Students learn through lectures, tutorials, and practical experiences guided by industry experienced lecturers. The course supports diverse learners including school leavers, international students, mature students, and those already in caring professions. It also emphasizes cultural safety and professional nursing standards required for New Zealand registration.
