The Master of Advanced Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) at UC Online is a four-year part-time programme preparing experienced registered nurses to advance their careers as nurse practitioners. The curriculum covers advanced pathophysiology, health assessment, pharmacology, professional practice, and clinical practicum, with a blend of online learning and up to 20 days of on-site study in Christchurch. Graduates are equipped to make comprehensive assessments and diagnoses, initiate advanced clinical interventions, and provide leadership in healthcare, qualifying them for registration as a nurse practitioner with the Nursing Council of New Zealand.

B average in NZ nursing degree at 300-level or equivalent
or recognised three-year nursing qualification with B average
or completion of a prescribed qualifying course
or academic equivalent standing as determined by the Executive Dean of Health
Confirmation of suitable access to clinical experience
