What You're Signing Up For
This diploma programme is designed for those who want to work in clinical settings as an enrolled nurse and become a valued member of the health team. Students learn nursing theory, social science, and human biology, and develop practical skills in simulated and real clinical environments. The curriculum covers areas such as rehabilitation, acute care and mental health. Upon completion, graduates will be eligible to apply to the Nursing Council of New Zealand to sit the state exam for registration as an Enrolled Nurse.

NCEA Level 2 (including 12 credits for maths at Level 1) OR New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 3)
Two character references from persons in positions of trust
Current comprehensive First Aid Certificate
Evidence of immunity as identified by Te Puna Whai Ora, Department of Nursing and clinical partners
Declaration regarding physical and mental health status from a GP or Practice Nurse
Police vetting check
Full COVID-19 vaccination
