Prepare for clinical practice as an Enrolled Nurse
Gain the knowledge and skills to provide safe, effective, and ethical care in a range of health care settings as an enrolled nurse.

Apply nursing, social science and body knowledge
Demonstrate understanding of nursing theory, social sciences, and human anatomy and physiology relevant to enrolled nursing.

Practice clinical skills in simulated and real settings
Develop hands-on skills in simulated environments before applying them in actual clinical placements.
What You're Signing Up For
This course is for those who want to work in clinical settings as an enrolled nurse and a valued member of the health team. Students will gain knowledge in nursing, social science, and the structure and function of the human body. They will learn skills in simulated learning environments which can then be applied in clinical practice placements. The programme prepares you for a career as an Enrolled Nurse in various settings, including rehabilitation, acute care, and mental health. Graduates can apply to the Nursing Council of New Zealand to become a registered Enrolled Nurse.

What you need to know first
NCEA Level 2 (including 12 credits for maths at Level 1) OR New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 3)
Two character references (non-family, non-peer)
Current comprehensive First Aid Certificate
Evidence of immunity (as required by department)
Declaration of physical and mental health status
Police vetting/clearance required
Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
