What You're Signing Up For

This three-year Bachelor of Nursing equips students with the knowledge and practical skills required to begin their nursing career. Students will learn and apply best practices in healthcare, covering aged care, community health, emergency and mental health, and more. Graduates are eligible to sit the Nursing Council of New Zealand's registration exam and work across varied health environments. Dedicated tutors and immersive clinical placements support academic and professional development.

What you need to know first

Must be 17 years of age or over

University Entrance per NZQA or recent (within 5 years) study at NZQF Level 4 or higher

Approved foundation, bridging or tertiary introductory course/programme in Health at Level 4 with 60%+ in all modules can be considered

Applicants 20+ years: Demonstrated academic ability at NZQA Level 4 or equivalent within last 5 years or Level 4 Health with 60%+

Two character references from persons in positions of trust (not family/friends/colleagues)

Information session attendance

Police vetting check (required on entry and during degree)

Physical/mental health declaration from GP or nurse

Evidence of immunity as required by department and partners

Current comprehensive First Aid Certificate

COVID-19 vaccination required
