The Bachelor of Nursing Pacific (Level 7) at Manukau Institute of Technology prepares students to become registered nurses with special expertise in Pacific health. The programme uniquely integrates Pacific worldviews and Māori perspectives with mainstream nursing education, offering smaller class sizes, a family-like environment, and collaboration with Pacific leaders and organisations. OR NZ Certificate in Career and Study Preparation (Level 4, health-related context; for 2026 entry, pending NZQA approval)
OR demonstration of mature approach, ability to pass a science diagnostic test, and appropriate English language competence
Submission of two character referees
Health declaration and immunisation status
Police screening (no criminal convictions or review if applicable)
If first language not English: IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 (no subscore below 6.5) or equivalent
Demonstrate understanding of and respect for Pacific and Māori identities, worldviews, and traditions in healthcare delivery.
