Graduates will be eligible to apply for registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ) as registered nurses.

Demonstrate the ability to apply foundational and advanced nursing theory in practical settings.

The AUT Master of Nursing Science is a comprehensive pathway for graduates of any discipline to become registered nurses in New Zealand. The programme blends academic coursework with substantial clinical placements, equipping students with the knowledge, clinical skills, and research proficiency needed for the nursing profession. The curriculum covers integrative practice, applied pathophysiology, health research, pharmacotherapeutics, and leadership in health settings.

Must be capable of meeting the Children's Act (CA 2018) requirements, including police clearance
