Eligibility for Registered Nurse Registration
Graduates are eligible to sit the NCNZ registration exam to become a registered nurse in New Zealand.

What You're Signing Up For
This Bachelor of Nursing from Ara Institute of Canterbury enables students to apply for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing Council of New Zealand. What you need to know first
NCEA Level 3 with 14 credits at Level 3 in each of: English or an approved literacy subject; Biology or physical education or chemistry; one other approved subject
Numeracy: 10 credits at Level 1 or above (specific NZQA standards)
New Zealand Certificate in Study and Career Preparation (Level 4) or equivalent
Personal statement
2 referee reports
Valid first aid certificate (NZQF standards 6401 & 6402)
Consent to NZ Police vetting
Meet Health Authority requirements (evidence of immunity, vaccinations, etc.)
May need to attend an interview
