What You're Signing Up For

The Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Business Conjoint Programmes at AUT enable students to graduate with two complementary bachelor's degrees in as little as four years. The programme combines business skills with a wide choice of arts majors—including languages, event management, culinary arts, social sciences, and more—preparing graduates for careers that cross disciplinary boundaries and respond to diverse workplace needs in New Zealand and internationally.

Course Content

  • Business core courses (e.g. accounting, economics, finance, marketing, management, information systems)
  • Arts majors (e.g. creative writing, criminology, culinary arts, economics, education, event management, global tourism, history, international studies, interpreting, Māori development, Māori media, NZ Sign Language and Deaf Studies, psychology, social sciences)
  • Development of communication, analytical and research skills
  • Interdisciplinary project and practical components
  • Cultural and community engagement modules (depending on major selection)

University Entrance or equivalent

NCEA Level 3 with merit or equivalent

For Interpreting majors: High competency in English plus one other language, and interview

For NZ Sign Language - English Interpreting major: High competency in English, interview required
