The programme consists of seven papers covering advanced topics in obstetrics and gynaecology, clinical training, and practice-based education. It is delivered through a combination of distance learning, residential components, and clinical supervision. Entry is restricted to practitioners registered for medical practice, and the programme is only available to students living and studying in New Zealand.

- OBGY 712: Advanced topics in obstetrics (distance learning)
- OBGY 713: Advanced topics in gynaecology (distance learning)
- OBGY 715: Additional areas in women's health (distance learning)
- OBGY 716: Further topics in obstetrics/gynaecology (distance learning)
- OBGY 717: Clinical training practicum (minimum 6 months, maximum 24 months)
- OBGY 718: Independent learning with residential course (3 days)
- OBGY 719: Independent learning with residential course (3 days)
- Written, oral, and clinical examinations
- Logbook of clinical competence certified by clinical supervisor
What you need to know first
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from a New Zealand university or equivalent medical qualification
Registration for medical practice in the country in which the programme is taught
