Work as a qualified Mechanical Engineering tradesperson
Graduates can independently perform as Mechanical Engineering tradespeople in their chosen strand (Fitting and Machining or General Engineering) within mechanical engineering and manufacturing industries.

Apply mechanical engineering theory and practical skills

What You're Signing Up For
This flexible four-year part-time apprenticeship programme prepares learners for a career in mechanical engineering, covering topics like fitting, machining, fluid power, welding, and trade calculations, all delivered through work-integrated learning. Apprentices receive tailored support from tutors and employers while developing practical and theoretical skills needed for the engineering industry. Graduates can independently work as tradespeople in the mechanical engineering and manufacturing industries, with strands available in Fitting and Machining or General Engineering.
