Service Automotive Systems
Learn how to service general automotive systems to prepare for a career in the automotive industry.

Perform Basic Engine Servicing
Carry out basic automotive engine servicing and service a four-stroke spark-ignition engine.

Conduct Underbody Maintenance
Carry out basic automotive underbody service procedures and repair light vehicle hydraulic braking systems.

What you need to know first
10 NCEA Level 1 literacy credits (reading and writing) and 10 NCEA Level 1 numeracy credits OR demonstration of suitable knowledge and skills.
Special admission may be available for domestic applicants aged 20 or older with relevant skills, education, or experience.
International students assessed individually to ensure suitable secondary school achievement equivalent to NZ NCEA Level 1.
If English is not your first language: New Zealand University Entrance OR IELTS 5.0 (no band less than 5.0) or approved equivalent.
