What You're Signing Up For

This Level 3 certificate equips students with the essential skills for entry into the automotive engineering sector. Learning takes place in modern, fully equipped vehicle workshops and covers engine and driveline systems, automotive electronics and air conditioning, as well as customer service and workshop procedures. The programme prepares graduates for apprenticeships and further training within the automotive industry.

  • Fundamentals of automotive engineering
  • Servicing engines and driveline systems
  • Checking and minor repairs on electrical/electronic systems
  • Servicing steering, suspension, and brake systems
  • Automotive administration and customer service

What you need to know first

Be at least 16 years old at the time the programme commences.

Be able to read, write, and communicate in English at a basic level.

Be physically able to complete the programme-specific outcomes.
