What you need to know first
48 credits at NCEA Level 2 or New Zealand Certificate in Maritime Crewing Level 3 or 4, or relevant qualification at NZQF Level 3 or above, or recognised equivalent
English language proficiency (IELTS Academic 5.5 or equivalent for non-native speakers)
Employment or engagement in the maritime industry recommended
Medical certificate, physical fitness for practical training
