What You're Signing Up For

This intensive short course supports students who require NCEA Level 2 mathematics to gain entry into engineering diplomas. The programme covers Level 1 to Level 3 mathematics topics drawn from the bridging courses 'Algebra 2', 'Algebra 3', and 'Introductory Mathematics for Engineers.' It is tailored for those who meet all other entry criteria for an engineering diploma except for mathematics. Completion enables direct pathway application to the New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical).

  • Algebra 2
  • Algebra 3
  • Introductory Mathematics for Engineers (Level 3)
  • Daily maths exercises (group and independent)
  • Preparation for NCEA Level 2 equivalency in mathematics

What you need to know first

Any credits at NCEA Level 1 Maths.

Must meet all other engineering diploma Level 2 entry requirements except mathematics.
