It involves undertaking a research course and dissertation, usually requiring an extra semester beyond the regular Bachelor of Laws. Graduates are well-positioned for highly competitive legal careers and are eligible to seek admission as barristers and solicitors of the High Court of New Zealand after completing their Professional Legal Studies course.
