What You're Signing Up For
The Certificate of Attainment in English Language (CAEL) at the University of Waikato College is designed for international students whose first language is not English. The programme develops proficiency in the four essential skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Students are placed in one of three course levels (Elementary to Pre-Intermediate) depending on their current proficiency, and complete intensive English classes through a series of 10-week blocks held on campus in Hamilton. The programme enables progression to higher-level English or university study.
